There can be many different variations of RSI. You may find your symptoms are quite different from some one else you know that suffers from the condition or from other symptoms you have read.

We know that Carpal Tunnel Syndrome occurs in the wrist, where friction on the nerve passing through the wrist carpals causes inflammation. However as well as suffering from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome you may find that your Carpal Tunnel is combined  with one or both of the related conditions below.

Tenosynovitis
Tenosynovitis applies to both the wrist and the fingers.  It is caused by soreness of the tendon and its associated sheath

Tendonitus
Tendonitus is swelling of the soft tissue around joints.  In the case of RSI, these would be the finger joints or the elbow.  However, the condition can occur in other joints, for example the knee.
